Decimal Calculator

This calculator performs basic arithmetic operations on decimal numbers.

Addition and Subtraction:

When adding or subtracting decimals, the key is to align the decimal points. This ensures that you are adding or subtracting corresponding place values (ones with ones, tenths with tenths, etc.).

Multiplication:

Multiply the numbers as if they were whole numbers. Then, count the total number of decimal places in the original numbers. The result will have that many decimal places.

Division:

If the divisor is a decimal, move the decimal point to the right to make it a whole number. Move the decimal point in the dividend the same number of places. Then, perform the division as usual, placing the decimal point in the quotient directly above its new position in the dividend.
