Understanding Body Fat Percentage

How to take measurements:

  • Use a flexible measuring tape (like one used for sewing).
  • Ensure the tape is snug but not compressing the skin.
  • Take measurements in front of a mirror or have someone assist you for accuracy.
  • Neck: Measure below the larynx (Adam’s apple), sloping slightly downward to the front.
  • Waist:
    • Men: Measure horizontally at the level of the navel.
    • Women: Measure horizontally at the narrowest point (natural waist).
  • Hip (Women Only): Measure horizontally at the largest circumference around the hips/buttocks.
  • Enter all measurements in the same unit (cm or inches).
