Baking Pan Conversion
This tool helps you adjust recipe ingredients when switching between different sized baking pans.
1. Select Pan Shape:Choose whether your original and new pans are Rectangular or Round. You can convert between the same shapes.
2. Enter Original Pan Dimensions:Fill in the dimensions for the pan size the recipe was written for. For all pans, provide the height (depth).
3. Enter New Pan Dimensions:Fill in the dimensions for the pan you want to use.
4. Calculate:The calculator will determine the volume of both pans and give you a scaling factor. For example, if the factor is 1.25, you should multiply all of your ingredient quantities by 1.25.
Important Disclaimer: This calculator provides a mathematical scaling factor based on pan volume. It does not account for changes in surface area or depth, which can affect baking time and temperature. Always monitor your baked goods closely when using a different pan size.
