Corner Point Calculator
How to Find Corner Points
In linear programming, the corner points (or vertices) of the feasible region are critical for finding the optimal solution.
The Process:
- Step 1: Define Constraints. Enter your system of linear inequalities.
- Step 2: Find Intersection Points. The calculator treats each inequality as an equation and solves every possible pair to find their intersection points.
- Step 3: Test for Feasibility. Each intersection point is tested against all of the original inequalities.
- Step 4: Identify Corner Points. Only the intersection points that satisfy all inequalities are considered valid corner points of the feasible region.
